CHOOSE YOUR HARD

CHOOSE YOUR HARD.

YOU'VE PROBABLY HEARD OF IT...

Most people have heard the words: “Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Choose your hard. Obesity is hard. Being fit is hard. Choose your hard…” These powerful lines have echoed around the world, passed from one person to another, often posted online, and quoted in speeches, books, and classrooms. Yet, for years, very few knew the name of the man who originally wrote them — Keith A. Craft.

What began as a simple but profound statement has grown into a global movement of wisdom, challenging people everywhere to take ownership of their choices and their futures. For a long time, the author went unrecognized, the words standing on their own with “author unknown” attached to them.

Now, Keith A. Craft—the original voice behind Choose Your Hard—has published a book that brings new depth, insight, and clarity to the principle that has already impacted millions. This is more than a viral quote; it’s a framework for life, a challenge to stop drifting and start choosing the kind of “hard” that leads to growth, health, strength, and purpose.

For the first time, you can learn directly from the source. If you’ve ever been moved by the words of Choose Your Hard, now you can discover the heart and wisdom behind them.

Choose your hard means the difference in living a divine destiny or living a mediocre destiny. Both are hard. You can choose the hard that leads to regret or choose the hard that leads to a divine plan.

To me, “choose your hard” means embracing discipline in daily decisions as the path and pursuit to the destiny God intended. It’s an understanding that the constant flow of ‘choosing your hard’ decisions won’t always come in the form of a clear right vs wrong decision, but most often shows up in a what’s best over good choice. It’s the hard choice of covenant with my wife over selfish desires. It’s the hard choice of embracing Kingdom legacy parenting in a progressive liberal (antichrist) culture. It’s the hard choice of living with integrity in a world of corruption. It’s the hard choice of getting in the game of advancing the kingdom with servant leadership when sitting on the sidelines is easy, noncommittal and comfortable. It’s recognizing that there is an ideal version of yourself, that version of how God sees you, and ‘choosing the hard’ of pursuing that ideal self every day. It’s having an awareness that how I approach ‘choosing my hard’ can either take me closer to who God has called me to be, or take me further from that ideal version of who God has called me to be.

Pastor Keiths book will help you see the hard path, the path less travelled, as a gift, an opportunity, to become everything God has created us to be and live the life God intended for you to live. Most people choose what they view as the easier path, when actually it creates a harder life, one God didn’t intend. The path that seams harder, doesn’t make life easier, it makes YOU stronger to become the man or woman God created you to be.

Choose your hard means choosing whichever path God has for me, whether that’s the long hard road or the short easy, I’m choosing the one that will bring out my BEST for the kingdom of God.
